As part of the move towards integration with European Union law, the “I mprovement on the Investment Conditions Reform Program in Turkey” was legalized in 2001. As a result of this reform, further legislation established the ‘ Direct Foreign Investment Code’. This states that foreign investors no longer need permission from the Foreign Capital General Director any longer. As a result, since the 17 th of June, 2003, the process whereby one establishes a company in Turkey is the same as elsewhere in Europe. Foreign investors must apply to the Trade Registry Office with the requisite documents.
To establish a company, any investor, Turkish or foreign, must present the main articles of association; undertake its registration and the public announcement of same. The relevant government agencies must be correctly informed. Finally, the company must be registered with the correct Chamber of Commerce.
Ceydayg Law Firm can set up Turkish companies for foreign investors with speed, accuracy and at minimum cost.
