The Amendments on the notification law, numbered 27820 entered into force by being published in the Official Gazette dated 19.01.2011. There has been major amendments the Notification Law and one of them which affect companies is regulated in article 35. It is stipulated in this article that the addresses registered in the official records of the legal entities will be taken into consideration although no notification has been made in that address before. In other words, the notifications made to the addresses registered in the official records of the legal entities will be deemed to be served to them by law even if the legal entity does not reside in that address. This could be resulted in a loss of rights as the legal entity would be neglecting to act upon the notification in a timely manner particularly in a debt collection action proceedings started against the such legal entity.
