How do foreign-capital companies acquire real properties?
“Foreign-capital companies” are the ones established or joined within the framework of the provisions of the Turkish Commercial Code and registered to Turkish Trade Registry in Turkey. Companies established in Turkey and which have their head offices in Turkey are regarded as Turkish companies in accordance with the Turkish law no matter they are companies having domestic and foreign capitals.
Within this framework, according to subclause (d) of article 3 of 4875 numbered Direct Foreign Investments Law; it is free for companies having legal entities established or joined by the foreign investors in Turkey to acquire real properties on areas open for acquisition of Turkish citizens or to acquire limited real rights.
